Kim, Clinical Director of Sage Support Services

I’m extremely proud to be the Clinical Director and Supervisor for Sage Support Services and Sage ABI behavior supports program. I’m an active behavior analyst. I work directly in the field, with the people, and amongst providers. I’ve been part of Sage for nearly 10 years, and I plan to stay! I’m passionate and dedicated to the practice of behavior analysis where I’m able to make an impact in the lives of people with developmental/intellectual disabilities, as well as those with brain injuries. I feel lucky to carry the same energy as I did 17 years ago when I started. I would say “I hope” to continue that same commitment, but I know I will.

I supervise an extraordinary team of clinicians who bring their own unique set of strengths, wisdom, and practice. Together, we are committed to bringing clinical excellence to our Michelle P, SCL, and ABI waiver participants, their families, and teams across multiple counties in Kentucky. In fact, we are honored. A big part of our mission is to help each person build a life they love–one they can thrive in and enjoy while minimizing behavioral barriers. This is a challenge and a privilege–to be part of a person’s life that helps identify what is important to them, how to reach their goals safely, and support a life of dignity and normalcy with friends, work, and community.

Sage’s positive behavior support plans are developed from a place of person-centered planning. Each plan is unique to the individual, their goals, and their interests. By using positive reinforcement to teach essential life skills, build communication, develop relationships, and promote inclusion and life experiences, we can help people improve their quality of life throughout their lifetime. I’m a firm believer in how behavior analysis helps people live the life they want with freedom, safety, and joy!
